How do I cycle through the different audio sources on the turntable? 

To cycle through the different source options, press the Source button on the front of the Mustang LP. A LED will illuminate next to the current audio source.  It will cycle between Phono, USB, AM Radio, FM Radio, and Aux input.


Does the Mustang LP have built-in speakers?

Yes! The Mustang LP has built-in speakers. Just power it on and choose your audio source to begin listening to music directly from the Mustang LP!


What kind of Stylus does this unit take?

The Mustang LP includes a diamond tipped stylus which is designed to last hours of record playing!


What types of records can the Mustang LP play?

The Mustang LP will play 78, 33.3, and 45 RPM records. To play 78 RPM records you will need to change the stylus to a 78 RPM compatible stylus, which is not included.


I need a replacement stylus, where can I get one?

The Mustang LP uses a CZ-800-10 diamond-tipped stylus that can be purchased directly from the ION Audio website, at the link below:


Can I use the Mustang LP with a computer?

Yes! Just connect the Mustang LP to your Mac or PC using the included USB cable to listen through your computer speakers or digitize your record collection. The Mustang LP comes with the EZ Vinyl Tape Converter to easily record and save your records directly to your computer!

What can I do with the USB port on the front of the Mustang LP?

The USB port can be used to playback files from a USB flash drive, or to digitize your favorite records directly to the flash drive for playback later on. 


What file types can the USB port playback?

The USB drive input supports MP3, WAV, and WMA.


What is the format of the recordings made to USB?

Recordings made direct to the USB drive will be MP3 128 kb/s, 44.1kHz, 16-bit.


Is this an officially licensed Ford product?

Yes! We worked directly with Ford to bring you the Mustang LP. 


Is there a slipmat included?

Yes, the felt slipmat is fixed to the platter. 


The standby light always stays on, is this normal?

Yes, the standby light will stay illuminated when the Mustang LP is in the off position.  It will go off when the unit is powered on, and you cycle through your audio sources.


Is the belt replaceable?

Yes, the Mustang LP has a replaceable 8-inch belt.  If you need to replace your belt, please use the support page for assistance!


Is the turntable powered by the USB port?

The Mustang LP ships with a power adapter in the box and is not powered by the USB cable.


My record is skipping, what should I do?

If the record is skipping try cleaning the record directly using standard lp cleaning techniques. For some materials that can help with the cleaning of your vinyl, you can find the VINYL ALIVE Record Cleaning Kit on the ION Audio website. If the record continues to skip, consider replacing the stylus, you can also find the replacement stylus on the ION Audio website.
