The hardware attaches to the screen of your tablet using suction cups. The movements and motions are recognized by the tablet due to a soft mesh tip which is positioned against the screen.
No. The Scratch 2 Go has a soft conductive mesh tip very similar to a stylus pen. This sort of connection will not scratch the tablet any more than a typical stylus pen. It will even work if you have a screen protector on!
If the suction cups are not making a solid connection with your tablet screen, we recommend cleaning the suction cups with a slightly damp cloth, as well as cleaning your tablet screen. Once the screen and suction cups have been wiped down, you should be able to get a solid connection. For recommended cleaning for your particular device, see the manufacturers directions. Yes! The ION Audio Scratch 2 Go will work with most major tablets, including the iPad Mini.
If the Scratch 2 Go fader loses sync with the on-screen fader, we recommend removing the Scratch 2 Go fader from the screen, lining it up, and reapplying.
